Beautiful Signs for a Better Planet

Eco-Friendly Wood Pegs

Our suggested method is to install a Green Dot sign via four eco-friendly wood pegs. This method works well with textured and standard walls. As you prepare to mount an ADA office sign, consider the required tools, sign pattern, and installation steps.

Some tools are necessary to mount an office sign well.  If you don’t have the required drill bit, eco-friendly silicone, or low tack tape add our sign installation kit to your signage order.

  • Drill
  • 5/16” drill bit
  • Silicone
  • Measuring tape and level
  • Low tack tape, such as painter’s tape *

*Test low tack tape on an inconspicuous part of your wall to be sure it doesn’t remove paint.  If necessary, sign installation pattern can be held by hand.

Printed versions of these installation patterns are always included with your sign when it is shipped.

If you download and print patterns from our website and intend to use them, it is critical that you print on the correct paper size and at actual size.  The 7.25″ x 4″ and 7.25″ x 9.25″ signs are set for 8.5″ x 11″ paper and the remaining sizes on 11″ x 17″.  If sized incorrectly holes may be drilled in the wrong location.

No one wants an extra hole in the wall, right?

Securely mount your signs by following the below steps.

Step 1

Position hole installation pattern on wall, confirming it is level and in an ADA-compliant position. Tape pattern to wall.

Step 2

Using 5/16” bit, drill through pattern and into wall at each of the four corner dots. Then remove pattern.

Step 3

Confirm wall holes line up with sign pegs, and wallow out holes as needed.

Step 4

Apply silicone on four pegs and in a small circle on sign back.

Step 5

Insert sign into wall holes. Press firmly against wall and hold for 10 seconds.

Step 6

Admire your work (briefly…) then install your next sign!
